Infrastructure and Readiness Requirements
Applications require letters of support from tribal education departments and evidence of prior training in culturally adapted screening tools validated for Lakota and Dakota populations. Budgets must dedicate at least 40 percent to personnel costs for staff residing within 50 miles of participating schools. Evaluation plans must use South Dakota Department of Education attendance and discipline data disaggregated by tribal affiliation.
